Rating: - Great Movie but....
I really enjoyed this movie. The story was different and if you like the supernatural then you should enjoy this movie. They do speak in whispers through out the movie so you might have to turn up the sound. But otherwise the sound quality is good. My only really problem is the digital copy. If you have a Mac you can't download the digital copy of the movie. Also the digital copy is in standard definition. Ok this is one of those movies that is a cult type movie with its cult following but Guys in the studio distribution center stop being so cheap. If you are to make a Blu Ray out of the movie at least do it right and make this digital copy useful for everyone and in the same definition as the movie purchased (In Wide Screen). You are charging at least $18.00 for this movies purchasing price depending where you get it. That should always be part of the purchase and you wonder why people download movie by pirating, be a little more giving and more people would buy more. I do remind you that this movie was already released to dvd before so you are just milking it.
Rating: - Fantastic Movie Gets Amazing Director's Cut and AAA HiDef Presentation
Dark City has always been in my top five favorite movies ever since I saw it in the theater. Between the theater, VHS, and DVD, I have probably seen this movie 25-30 times. Now, with the release of the Director's Cut on Blu-Ray, I am sure I will be watching it many more times.
The D.C. has many new pieces that add to the puzzle of the storyline. Also, the removal of the intro voice over is a welcomed change. Top that off with a crisp HD transfer, with deep blacks and vivid colors, and you've got a real masterpiece here.
I cannot recommend this enough. Dark City is one of those movies that nobody seems to have heard of, but whenever I have forced somebody to watch, they ALWAYS love it.

I'd add "meets 28 Days Later" to the title, but that would be an insult to 28 days.
Wow. I can't believe this movie got so many rave reviews. Maybe it would be useful if the reviews included the reviewers age.
To even mention Blade Runner in context with this movie is a joke.
We both fell asleep, twice!
They don't make movies like they used to, thats for sure.
I wish I too could fight evil by pointing my forehead and issuing a "shockwave".
Look for my copy to turn up soon, cheap.
If you're an adult, best to skip this excersize in stupidity.
Rating: - The Director's cut...
Try to spot the changes.. I needed to listen to the commentary for that one. Also, great movie only greater on the Blu!

The Good Things
*The Blu-Ray has excellent video quality; easily one of the best transfers ever. The movie is much more colorful than I remember. Very clear, crisp picture. No grain. Even though most of the movie is dark, it looks phenomenally great. The sound quality is great too.
*Includes both the theatrical cut and director's cut of the movie. Also has a bunch of special features, some of which came from the older DVD release (essays and notes), and others that are brand new (documentaries, new commentaries, and some other stuff). All of this is on disc one; disc two is a digital copy.
*The movie itself has some good action and special effects. Moreover, it has a very slick and interesting tech-noir style and production design (overall, it's like a retro version of "Blade Runner").
*The story is interesting. It didn't make total sense when I first saw it years ago, but repeated viewings make things clearer.
*Characters are not bad. Has a good cast.
*Pretty good writing; some memorable lines.
The Bad Things
*As said above, storyline may be hard to get on first viewing.
*Kind of slow at parts (but if you like the style, it'll be interesting all the way through).
The movie was a pleseant surprise when I saw its former DVD release years ago; it was stylish and had some great action and special effects (especially during the movie's finale). Repeated viewings have been even more interesting. The Blu-Ray is most worthwhile, for both its video quality and its array of special features. Definitely reccomended to sci-fi fans.
You guys! Psyched about that whole Watchmen movie thing (previously, we've touched on Watchmen briefly, like, onceortwice?), kinda wanna read the book, but you just can't see fitting a 400-page comic into your busy, busy schedule? Fortunately for you, there's The Condensed Version. (Via the often NSFW Journalista.)
All About N-Gage have the dirt on a game that looks like it has a lot of potential: Asphalt: Urban GT. I can't say that I've played much more than some FIFA and other random stuff on the N-Gage, but a good racer can add a lot of value to a gaming platform. Of course I'm still waiting to see if Call of Duty rocks as much as it should.
I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...
OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.
What would you spend the money on?
What does your monthly budget look like?
What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
How much will you allocate to maintenance?
You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
What are your big milestones?
Who are your key vendors?
How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?
How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
