the best "bad "movie of all time.
i hate to admit it i love this movie, as well as the sequel. that damn clyde, he gets me every time, ma, blastin away at the over the hill black widows, is priceless, to bad tammy wynette wasnt available for the lynn haulsey taylor roll. cause, sandre locke cant sing a lick, and she aint that attractive either,[what clint saw in her is beyond me]she was terrible in the gauntlet too, but better in sudden impact.she was like a bad tatoo, you cant remove, shes always their to remind you of what a bad idea it was to have her in any of your movies.she wasnt even that good in outlaw josey wales. wich is a classic movie.this movie is over the top lewd ,crude, and obnoxious. in other words perfect.exept for locke's singin ,boy is she baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!!!

An All-Time 70's Comedy Classic!
I simply adore Every Which Way But Loose. It's not just one of my favorite Clint Eastwood movies ever, but it's one of my favorite movies, period. After 30 years, it's still just as fresh, funny, lighthearted and enjoyable as it first was in 1978. Clint Eastwood's character of Philo Beddoe was originally intended for Burt Reynolds by the producers who simply wanted Clint to pass the script along to Burt. I'm so glad Clint Eastwood chose the role for himself because it remains one of his best ever. Basically it's the story of the friendship between truck driver Philo Beddoe (Eastwood) and his beer-drinking pet orangutan, Clyde, and their quests to find love and make a little money on the side by bare-knuckle prizefighting. It has pretty much all you could want in a movie: two-fisted action, drama, humor, romance and even some charm to spare. The excellent supporting cast includes Sondra Locke, Geoffery Lewis, Beverly D'Angelo, Ruth Gordon, and Gregory Walcott. I first saw this one as a kid and have loved it ever since. It's one of the few movies I've seen which still entertains me as much as adult as it did when I was a child. The absolute perfect movie for a weekend get-away in the mountains or a quiet, lazy Sunday afternoon at home. A great story and it spawned an equally classic sequel, 'Any Which Way You Can' (1980). Full of lots of great one-liners and quips from Eastwood and you'll be singing along with the title song sung by country western great Eddie Rabbitt. Highly reccommended!!!!

Action Packed Comedy
I don't usually like movies with a lot of violence in them, but this one is great due to the amount of comedy in it. A good movie for all ages.

"Well it appears that there can't be too many guys driving around with an ape. "
By now its unlikely that you haven't already seen this movie. This is one of those flicks like Animal House or Walking Tall that when you're flipping channels at 3:00AM its impossible to walk away from. Work be damned. But if you've been watching one of the butchered versions of this classic comedy on TBS/TNT or even AMC, then you haven't seen this movie in its full glory.
This movie is hilarious. There are so many lines in this full presentation DVD I'd never heard before including one from my Junior High days when Cholla, the leader of the wrongway biker gang refers to his boys as "GD morphodites" as they are being pummeled by a shorthanded trio of truckers. Not even the droll and ultra boring Sondra Locke (Clint, what were you thinking?) can kill the vibe of this nonstop actioner as Philo Beddoe wades through one bare knuckles contest after another. Geoffrey Lewis makes a great sidekick and very matter of factly picks up Beverly DeAngelo along the way. Ruth Gordon makes me laugh, I wish she was my grandmother. Funny funny funnneeeeeee!
The all new digital transfer and 5.1 remastering has to be seen to be believed. Most of Clint Eastwood's better films have gotten this treatment including Any Which Way You Can, Kelly's Heroes, and The Outlaw Josey Wales, among others, and they are all magnificent! 5 Towtrucks
