Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Storyline and great singing.
I first saw this the other week on cable TV. I fell in love with it. I recorded it and then decided to order it on DVD. I can't wait to get it. I love how Chiwetel Ejiofor sings, he's fabulous i cannot believe he has been in action movies, I love him as a drag queen.
The songs are so fabulous I bought the CD as well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Well worth watching
I got this last week and thought it was so good. Loved it. How do I manage to miss movies like this???...never heard of it til I read about it online on a movie forum.

The title certainly would have led me to think that perhaps it was porn....which is FAR from what it was. It was a sweet, thoughtful movie which I really enjoyed. Good acting, good storyline, just a feel-good movie of which I wish there were lots more!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great movie - had to add it to my collection
I saw Kinky Boots on satellite a few months back and knew I needed to add it to my collection. Some folks will see the packaging and read the description and come to the conclusion that it's about drag queens... but it's not. It's a brilliant, funny, heartwarming film about compassion, empathy, respect, understanding, and "changing your mind about someone." There's nothing in here that'll offend the kids - but it could awaken someone who may be living with their mind closed.
The soundtrack is great as well!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Kinky Boots
I grew up during the times of musicals (and story lines) such as the "King and I", "Tommy", "Grease" and various others that have come out during the previous and this century. I prefer movies that dipict either historical situations and persons (any kind), and possible ventures of what the future could bring or propose.

"Kinky Boots" was a film that I never went to see at the movie theater, but saw it one day (nothing was on) TV. I had missed the first quarter of the movie, but watched to the end of the movie. I then reviewed for when I could see it again in its entirety. This is a kind of movie that is just what it is and should be accepted for what it is - good feeling entertainment, no matter what kind of movie you prefer.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Kinky Boots - an uplifting, but racy movie.
A great film. I wont tell you the plot, but if you're not averse to gender bending, and you like stories about initiative and courage, you will enjoy it. It's based on a true story, and is full of good feelings and tough decisions.

The acting is fantastic, and I love when the good people triumph.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
