Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must watch for the Sigur Ros fan
I take that back: a must watch, period! This music DVD contains 2 discs with material recorded during the band's 2006 homecoming tour through Iceland. Particularly special about it are the intimate (at times, unplugged) performances the band did for their fellow countrymen and women for free. Complementing these are some incredibly powerful (as in LOUD, get-off-your-seat-for-once) performances from their first four albums that are bound to have you give them all the respect they've earned as one of the best musical acts in the world today.

The first disc is peppered with interviews that give you an insider's view of the band and how they work together, their feelings about home and stardom and life at large. The second disc contains the complete performances without commentary, so you can focus on enjoying the music alone. Either way you look at it, you cannot pass this one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Magnificent Exposition
This documentary is a beautiful and magnificent exposition of the band, Sigur Rós, their exquisite music, and the awe-inspiring land that birthed them. I enjoyed every minute of this and literally had my breath taken by some the imagery. Worth it? Yes.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gold
Beautiful live dvd
If you are a fan of Sigur Ros or Iceland you will love this one.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Even my wife
loved this video. The music is beautiful - even if the words aren't in English and the scenery is outstanding. I especially liked the energy of the show in Rejkavik -

The whole idea of touring Iceland and playing for free in a wide variety of venues - if you can call an open field or abandoned fish processing facility a venue, was charming and clearly illustrates the bands love and respect for their country.

Don' miss this film !

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Buyer Beware
As a Title, this 2 disc DVD is a great companion for Sigur Ros fans who have not seen live perfomances and might want to take a look at the band on their natural enviroment, the beatiful and desolates Icelandic landscapes. But don't belive the product description on the back cover because it offers subtitles for the documentary on at least six different languages, incluiding danish, spanish and portuguese, but it only has english and japanese(ironically this last one isn't mentioned). Too bad for this great band to have such inaccurate advertisement (in some countries this might be cosidered fraud).

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
