Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I am Legend DVD
Not my type of movie. It was purchased as a gift for a Will Smith fan.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Low Budget Sci-Fi
Cant Hollywood come up with anything original anymore? Just another remake. The version with Charleston Heston called Omega Man was a whole lot better and original. Probably the worst Will Smith sci fi movie to date.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nothing Wrong With The Plot!
I understand if people hate this movie, but it still doesn't stop me from saying how I felt about I Am Legend. I think I Am Legend was one of Will Smith's best movies ever made. Its up there with Independence Day, and both Bad Boys 1 and 2 and Men In Black. I know the Bad Boys movies are cop movies but I'm just listing my other favorites. I wasen't disappointed at all in this film, the acting didn't bother me one bit. The twisted plot at the end was good, I can understand some people's concerns about the plot, but its also just a movie. I will be saying that to other movies that I hate, and telling people they are just movies. Also, of course its different from the book. Hollywood always changes stuff from books and always will be changing movies from books in the future. It is what it is. But this movie did fine, I had no problems with this movie. Infact, did you guys ever seen the ulternate ending on Disc 2? If you did not, go watch it if you have the movie, but if you don't own this film, then go on youtube.com, the ulternate ending is on there too. Its great stuff. Yea, there are parts when Will Smith was cracking jokes, but he does that in all his movies, so if you saw this movie and are not familiar with Will Smith, expect a few comedy scenes in I Am Legend.

I Am Legend was a great film, I'm giving it a full price on this one. Infact, I already own this film. I Always liked Will Smith's acting and will continue to do so.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A RIVETING, COMPELLING, INSTANT CLASSIC 8.75 OUT OF 10
I Am Legend is one of the better films to come out of Hollywood in a while. It's dramatic, compelling, bizarre, and it can be rather suspenseful.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT: In 2009, a virus ravaged the world and killed most of the population. There is virtually no one left except for the few people who are immune to the virus. But most of the immune were killed off by the infected. One man; Robert Neville; is the last man in Manhattan. He was a military virologist when the outbreak occurred, now he lives in Manhattan with a German shepherd named Samantha, trying to survive and find a cure for the virus and see if there is anyone else left alive.
MUSIC: The music is good, especially considering the guy who did this film's music also did the music for The Happening.
COMPELLING FACTOR: This film isn't exactly action-oriented, but it is rather great at setting the stage for suspense and dramatic, depressing moments.
ENTERTAINMENT: If you're hoping for an action-packed film you're not going to get one. This film is more focused on story and characters than action. It is a compelling movie that is worthy of a purchase. If you easily get bored of movies, you probably won't like this one, but give it a try.
OVERALL: There were parts of the movie that got boring, that is the main flaw. But the rest of the movie is superbly executed and creates a dramatic, compelling post-apocalyptic world.
THE GOOD: Good storyline, cool action scenes, great characters, and good music.
THE BAD: Boring scenes of nothing.

Making pollen while the sun shines: Loyal readers, I'll be taking the next week off for some serious staycationing, enjoying the variable Seattle weather, playing with the kids, and generally relaxing. I hope you are all doing the same, wherever in the world you are.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

U.S. companies are reining in IT spending as the economy continues to show weakness, a new survey has found.
