Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awsome!!
I love it! It is a great workout in 20 minutes that will definately give you results. Its definately tough, sometimes I feel like I want to puke! I do the work out about 5 days a week, but I'm not following the diet. I have definately lost weight, but most of all I feel healthy and strong!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - CAUTION: Great Workout But Not for Arthritic Knees!!!
Let me start by saying, I love Jillian on "The Biggest Loser". She obviously has a big heart and wants to see people succeed and she knows how to work the fat off. For that reason, I was really eager to start this workout. Being a very regular exerciser at my gym for years (5-6 days per week), but still needing to lose weight and growing tired of the old gym routine, I thought I would try this at home. I knew this workout would be hard, but I thought it would also be good for me. It's a "boot camp" style workout and will definitely make you sweat, but if you have bad knees then beware! (I have progressive arthritis in both knees after years of dance, skiing, and being generally very physically active.) I don't recommend this workout for you. The workout involves a lot of jumping (jumping jacks, jumping rope motions, jumping kick-backs, etc.) alternating with squat-like movements. After doing the beginner workout one time, my knees are shot and I've been put on a "no exercise for minimum of 10 days" order. So far it's been 8 days and I'm still far from recovered. What a bummer! I have no doubt this is an excellent workout for someone with healthy knees and I'm passing the DVD on to a younger friend who I think will love it. But if you have knee issues, you may want to look elsewhere -- or at least don't do the jumping (but that's a huge chunk of the workout so what's the point?). My jumping days are, unfortunately, over. Still looking for that challenging workout that will not stop me from walking. If anyone has suggestions, please pass them on in the comments!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This DVD really works - buy it!
After 5 days of working out with this DVD I already feel stronger. I have progressed to level two and am looking forward to level three.
If you are serious about changing your body and have 20 minutes a day to dedicate yourself to this DVD - Buy IT and you will see and feel the difference.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Tough workout, but I LOVE it!!
Very motivating, very hard, but very very worth the money, time and effort! Like other reviews, the warmup was not enough for me. At 47, I need a little more to get the muscles ready for the challenge. I just jump on the treadmill for about 20 minutes to limber up. I have just started to tackle level 3 some, and it is a killer. The walking plank is awesome! Good luck :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AMAZING DVD!
I use this DVD on the days that I don't workout with my trainer. On average I burn 410 calories in 25 minutes. I love this DVD! Jillian pushes you and every time I use it I feel a little stronger. I have progressed to level 2 - can't wait to workout to level 3!!!

Bill Clinton resoundingly endorses Barack Obama who is formally nominated by US Democrats as their presidential candidate.

Before Barack Obama's surprise appearance, a tag team of Democrats, including Bill Clinton, piles on John McCain. And Joe Biden, Rove-style, goes right for McCain's supposed strength.

Ted Shelton: "Frankly I felt that BlogOn was a waste of time and money."

I think the BlogOn conference was overproduced. In the name of professionalism the organizing firm turned off potential speakers, oversubscribed sponsors, etc.

I would have liked a debatable topic (aside from *blogging = journalism*. Two people slugging it out. Or a devil's advocate taking challenges from the floor.

I would have liked more hard numbers. Facts. Charts. Diagrams. We have the analytic tools to BS-check them; harder on vague opinions and single-points-of-observation.

I found it disturbing how much money was being commanded (from both attendees and sponsors) for a conference at a university. Maybe it was because it was at Berkeley? Maybe we should have taken over a community college or a Cal State or a DeVry. The facilities costs would have been cheaper at least. I heard an organizer apologize and say the next one would be at a hotel, like that would have been better.

Cost wasn't the whole problem. We're at a stage where early adopters are meeting folks who want to leap the chasm. Huge gaps in knowledge, experience, context, culture, vocabulary. It's the gap.

There are huge ideas to be explored, even in the world of applying blogs to media strategy and the enterprise. And most of the big ideas weren't even on the agenda at BlogOn. Probably because it was catering to those who want to commercialize, fund, and otherwise exploit (excuse me, "get in on") the emerging medium.

Let's fork these conferences so advanced topics on business and technology and culture fit the participants.
