Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Relive a very real experience
I give credit where credit is due for Celine Dion--I was able to relive a concert in vivid detail! I've never seen anything like it and they did a great job. Particularly interesting too was the backstage pass (second disc) where you meet the cast as an observer during the production as well as follow Celine throughout the day from her house in the morning and back again at night. This is also a good opportunity to see creative director Franco Dragone's work--he so effectively creates a different world, as someone said, that you enter during the performance. Enjoy!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - CELINE IS A DIVA
WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT CELINE. SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE AND YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG WHEN YOU GET THIS CONCERT. I HAVE WATCHED IT 5 TIMES SINCE I'VE GOTTEN IT AND IT STILL MAKES ME STAND UP AND APPLAUD LIKE I WAS THERE.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love Celine
This is a great concert in Las Vegas. I would love to have seen it in person.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Totally AWESOME, even for GUYS!!
OMG!!! This is absolutely the BEST thing I've seen EVER! I actually ran out and bought a Blu-Ray DVD player JUST FOR THIS!! I had to! I am a HUGE fan of Celine. And yes, I am a guy. I took my wife to her last concert in Boston a month or two ago and it just turned me on! I think she is FABULOUS and this DVD showcases every inch of her OUTSTANDING TALENT. I play guitar, have season tix to the Comcast Center, so I know a lot about music. I can't say enough good things about it. I run my own high tech company north of Boston and don't have a boss so I can get away with this: I took a day off last week, made a TON OF POPCORN, and WATCHED THIS DVD over and over again. I felt like a little boy skipping school and sneaking a peek at dirty magazines. Hee-hee!!

Seriously, buy this DVD, it's INCREDIBLE!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - CELINE DEON at her BEST and her VEGAS SHOW is now on this HD Blu-ray Disc w/HDMI and 5.1 HD Home Theatre is a MASTERPIECE!
Welcome to the incredible world of Blu-ray Disc Concerts. Only to be completely appreciated with the sum of ALL necessary components to carry this technology off!

My Qualifying Statement: I have a HD Home Theater weighing in at about $2000 plus movies. The breakdown; a Mitsubishi HD Projector (HC-1500) $800 (orig $1495), a Sony PLAYSTATION 3 with built-in Blu-ray player $399 (orig $499) and a Sony Blu-ray w/HDMI HD Home Theater Sound System (HT-SS2300) $399 (orig $499). (see my Reviews) Sony High Speed HDMI cables $150 (orig $180) and HD Sreen Paint and kit for my 108" viewing wall screen $180. With this true HD 1080p (1920x1080 lines) and 5.1 Dolby Cinema Souns I've assembled a HD Home Theater with sight and sound equal to an IMAX (on a smaller scale) presentation.

With this consideration and background information provided I can now comment on this Blu-ray Disc version of CELINE DEON A New Day. Mastered in Full HD 1080p and 5.1 Dolby Digital Sound we can now completely enjoy and witness this bigger than life personality perform her magic on the immense Las Vegas stage with over 50 skilled artists supporting her musical mastery. Celine Deon is the most talented female singer of our time and this Blu-ray Disc has brought the grandeur and majestry of pure music delight to our HD Home Theater. For the first time her music and her elegant voice has filled our ears so wonderfully.

This 2 disc set gives us hours of music, behind the scenes and a day in Celine's life which is so amazing.

So sit back and watch this most beautifully choreographed Vegas Show with the most talented voice of our time. Many encore viewings will occur with this Blu-ray Disc Set. A must have addition to your musical concert library. Enjoy.

Buffalo Technology has had an injunction lifted in its ongoing patent litigation with Australia's CSIRO technology agency: Buffalo was unable to sell Wi-Fi equipment in the U.S. since a permanent injunction was put in place in June 2007 following their 2006 loss in a lawsuit. CSIRO has a patent that they argue covers aspects of OFDM in 802.11a/g. CSIRO sued Buffalo after the Japanese equipment maker declined to pay royalties.

The injunction prevented Buffalo from selling gear that it offers in Japan and elsewhere in the world during the huge expansion of Draft N sales. This likely caused tens of millions of dollars of lost revenue, if not more. Buffalo was formerly mentioned in a single breath with D-Link, Linksys, and NetGear. (Linksys, as a division of Cisco, already pays CSIRO license fees: Cisco agreed to honor CSIRO's patent assertion because of a purchase of an Australian firm a few years ago.)

WZR-AG300NH_front-lg.jpgBuffalo can now sell Wi-Fi gear in the U.S. due to winning a narrow appeal in October that sent the case back to a lower court to resolve an issue. The company could still be liable for damages and other fees if the lower court finds for CSIRO and higher courts agree.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing allows a single Wi-Fi channel to be subdivided into a smaller number of channels, improving performance in reflective environments and adding robustness against interference. It's also used in WiMax, LTE, and other standards. This could mean CSIRO would pursue makers of other technology eventually as well.

CSIRO has never given any sign of asking for predatory royalty rates, but several firms have countersued, including Intel, Dell, and Microsoft. Those cases are still in litigation, as far as I can tell.
