Editorial Review:

Amazon.comDisney sets a record for bringing out a direct-to-video sequel after the initial film. Stitch: The Movie arrives only a year after the enjoyable Lilo & Stitch played theaters and reunites the title character (otherwise known as Experiment 626) with his earth-bound family in the warm Hawaiian sun. The story has a nice set-up: since Stitch is Experiment 626, where are the first 625 invented by Dr. Jumba Jookiba? Odds are the island paradise will soon be spaceport central for many more aliens. As with other made-for-video Disney titles, the animation is not as complex or rich. This hurts this sequel even more since the original film had such a unique, pastel beauty. Unfortunately, the other elements of the film are just as flat. Even though most of the original voice cast returns, the entire production lacks the same spirit and charm, and the story's theme is recycled (get ready for more 'Ohana means family'). On the plus side, the film starts with an Elvis Presley song ('Slicin' Sand') and is only 64 minutes long. The movie sets up the Disney TV series The Adventures of Lilo & Stitch. --Doug Thomas

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Cute Fun Movie for All True L&S Fans!
This movie was not drawn/animated as well as the first and true 2nd movies, but it's not terrible as these other close-minded, picky reviewers say! Do you even think of how hard, how expensive, and how time-consuming it is to make beautifully animated movies such as the first Lilo and Stitch movie? You can't expect to get such great animation whenever you want! It takes a lot of work, time, and care to create such cartoons. (Also if they don't have money to make it extra special, it won't be- though it's hard to believe Disney can't afford anything...) So I wish others would stop whining about a movie not being perfectly animated, etc. Stop being so childish with 'GIMME-GIMME'! ('Gimme-Gimme' never gets!)

This movie is animated more like the series, which is still easy on the eyes and funny. It's more like what I call an 'episode-movie', not really a 'movie-movie' (such as the first one). What should really matter is wanting to see the characters in another great adventure and Hamsterville is a great new evil villian (more a true evil villian than Jumba). If you're a true not picky fan of L&S and company, you'll enjoy this movie. The storyline was fine and it's only real purpose was for Disney to make more money with their cartoon series following this movie advertisement. 625 other experiments does appear like Pokemon, but Disney most likely will not make a trading card game that requires over 600 cards to play the game. They're making enough money with the series, extra movies, and their limited edition pins plus artwork litho cels. I'm not a crazed Disney fan, but L&S (and Gargoyles!) is definitely fan-worthy.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Please don't buy this movie.
This movie has pretty much nothing going for it. The Animation is awful, and the story is dumb. I really wish I could have back the 64 minutes it took to watch this piece of junk.

It has been likened to Saturday morning cartoons. However, I disagree. I have seen much higher quality on Saturday mornings.

Lilo and Stitch had a beauty to it. It was evident that an incredible amount of thought and care went into each and every frame. Even the supposed villains had motivation and charm all their own. You felt for Stitch, but you also felt for the aliens that were hunting him.

Not so in this movie (although I am giving it one star because of an awesome, new villain who is in the shape of a rabbit).

Disney released this trash just over a year after the original came out. How much care do you think they put into this one?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - an episode movie ok??
this is a movie about stitch finding out that he has cousins because he's all alone and also weren't you wondering what happened to stitch's cousins? his number is "626"so what about the OTHER 625?? this movie answers all the questions about his cousins. ok???

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Ugh. Doesn't deserve Stitch's name!
Wow, this movie was awful. I am a HUGE fan of "Lilo & Stitch" so naturally I bought this movie sight unseen. Looks like Disney is just cashing the sequel checks with children being their primary target. Very low quality story. Stick with Saturday morning cartoons -- at least they're free.

Buffalo Technology has had an injunction lifted in its ongoing patent litigation with Australia's CSIRO technology agency: Buffalo was unable to sell Wi-Fi equipment in the U.S. since a permanent injunction was put in place in June 2007 following their 2006 loss in a lawsuit. CSIRO has a patent that they argue covers aspects of OFDM in 802.11a/g. CSIRO sued Buffalo after the Japanese equipment maker declined to pay royalties.

The injunction prevented Buffalo from selling gear that it offers in Japan and elsewhere in the world during the huge expansion of Draft N sales. This likely caused tens of millions of dollars of lost revenue, if not more. Buffalo was formerly mentioned in a single breath with D-Link, Linksys, and NetGear. (Linksys, as a division of Cisco, already pays CSIRO license fees: Cisco agreed to honor CSIRO's patent assertion because of a purchase of an Australian firm a few years ago.)

WZR-AG300NH_front-lg.jpgBuffalo can now sell Wi-Fi gear in the U.S. due to winning a narrow appeal in October that sent the case back to a lower court to resolve an issue. The company could still be liable for damages and other fees if the lower court finds for CSIRO and higher courts agree.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing allows a single Wi-Fi channel to be subdivided into a smaller number of channels, improving performance in reflective environments and adding robustness against interference. It's also used in WiMax, LTE, and other standards. This could mean CSIRO would pursue makers of other technology eventually as well.

CSIRO has never given any sign of asking for predatory royalty rates, but several firms have countersued, including Intel, Dell, and Microsoft. Those cases are still in litigation, as far as I can tell.
