Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Rock and Roll Fable
Streets of Fire is a fun film. The plot can be summed up as the reluctant hero has to rescue his old girlfriend from the more colorful villian. It has lots of action and great music. "Nowhere Fast" and "Tonight is What it Means to be Young" sound like rock anthems, in the Meatloaf style. The scenery consists of neon lit wet streets; run down diners, hotels, and trains; lots of smoke; a bit like Bladerunner. The downside is that the cool character stereotypes are only stereotypes. Amy Madigan and Willem Dafoe are very good, but everyone else seems to be overdoing it. It is filled with tough-guy speak and cliches that you will see coming a mile away. Still, it is a fun movie and I love it. Call it popcorn entertainment.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Classic Cult Movie !!!!
I watched this movie when it first came out countless times and I recently came across it again and just had to buy it !!!! A classic rock and roll fantasy !!!!!, Just wished the guy got the girl in the end, but we all know that they so love each other !!!!!!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - TRULY AMAZING!!!
It's amazing what people can like! And so many! This movie's a joke, but if you thought 'The Warriors' was cool, you'll probably find this one great as well. Rick Moranis, who usually plays cheeseball comic roles, was perfect for this cheeseball flick - in fact, being the wimp, he was about the only one I could take seriously in this dingbat flick full of 50's tough guys and 80's cheese. What a shallow pointless plot! OK, I should stop pretending this movie ever made pretences of being serious. It must be a reminiscence thing.. or maybe it's the laugh factor.. or the jaded Dick Tracy one-liners.. or the Villiage People looking cops and bikers.. or William Dafoe.. Hey, now that I think about it, this movie really was good! NOT!

MPs pressure banks to pass on 1% cut in interest rates to customers as HBOS offers only 0.25%.

Let me ask the basic question that everybody somehow asks himself Isnt there any other solution to persistence problem simpler and more powerful?

When Microsoft released an emergency patch for a critical Windows bug six weeks ago, it warned that attacks were in progress and told users to patch immediately. They were nonchalant about the warning.

I have uploaded Jaxen 1.1.2, an open source XPath 1.0 engine written in Java that supports multiple object models including DOM, XOM, JDOM, and dom4j. It is also flexible enough to be adapted to XML views of non-XML data structures. For instance, PMD uses it to enable XPath expressions to query compiled Java byte code. Version 1.1.2 is believed to be fully conformant with the XPath 1.0 specification, modulo undiscovered bugs. This release fixes assorted a couple of significant bugs that incorrectly evaluated some XPath expressions. You should upgrade when you get a chance. Jaxen is published under a modified BSD license.
