Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great transaction.
Received the item quickly and it was just as described. What more could you ask for?

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - My purchase
The movie took over a month to arrive and when I emailed amazon and the vendor to complain they said that all they new is that the movie was in the mail. I will say that it was being shipped to an APO address which makes it harder to track.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Commitments review
There really isn't much of a story line here. Band gets together to play soul music, band members fight about stupid stuff, band breaks up but has the memory of being great once. Music is really good though.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Soul shaking fun!
I love this movie. I'd love it for the music alone (in fact, I bought the sound track, too) but the earnest 16 year old soul band leader, played by an amazing Andrew Strong, draws in anybody who was willing to climb uphill for something he really enjoyed. Lesser characters also prove to be compelling, such as the teenager who is pressed into service as her siblings' surrogate mom and sees her singing career slide away on a tide of poverty and family responsibility.Worth the price of admission: The Commitments' version of Try A Little Tenderness.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love the verve!
I do so enjoy this two disk set. Not only is the movie a music classic ( given the context in which the story is set)but the way the selected actors take their part and deliver. The second disc give the audience a solid background in which the "frame" the movie inself.
Highly recommended, and remember - for those who like to key in on memorable line from a film ... Soul music, say it..I'm black and I'm proud !

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

KDE 4.2 has a good chance of silencing the criticism that erupted with the release of KDE 4.0.

Paul Glen says that fear of layoffs is a de-motivator for creative problem-solvers like those in IT.

The ancient climate change on Mars was caused by regular variation in the planet's tilt, or obliquity, according to new research. On Earth, similar "astronomical forcing" of climate drives ice-age cycles.
