THE CURSE OF KING TUT'S TOMB
Thousands of years ago, the great Child King Tutankhamen ruled. Few know the details of his life--no one knows the secrets of his death. All that is about to change.
Free-spirited archaeologist Danny Fremont (Casper Van Dien, Sleepy Hollow) is certain that if found, King Tut's Emerald Tablet would hold the power to control the world. Unfortunately, the only one who believes Fremont is his nemesis archaeologist Morgan Sinclair (Jonathan Hyde, Titanic), a member of a secret society who wants the tablet to harness unspeakable evil on the world and will stop at nothing to get it.
With the help of a crackerjack team that includes the doubting Egyptologist Dr. Barakat (Leonor Varela, Cleopatra), Fremont ventures into the Valley of the Kings, toward Tut's tomb, nearer the portal to another world, and closer to the truth behind a mystery that will change the world forever--or end it.
Directed by action movie veteran Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) and co-starring Golden GlobeĀ® nominee Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) and Simon Callow (The Phantom of the Opera).
DVD Features include Bonus Features with the Cast and Crew.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Bollywood Inspiration!
Cheesy, B rated movie with the plot figured out withing the first few minutes. But come one, you've got to love the cheesiness! Great special effects! If you've ever seen a Bollywood film, you can see the inspiration. You still gotta love this movie though! Have some fun, buy it and watch it!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's Entertaining
Not a great movie, but entertaining. He was in a great movie,
Star Troopers (get that one). Doogie was also in it. I love adventure
movies and will pretty much watch any one of them. The star of this
one is very handsome. Look for him in other movies. Not the greatest
acting talent however.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic Movie!
I think everyone who said this movie was awful was wrong. This movie is SUPERB for a mini series. Also for a Hallmark movie this movie had AWESOME special effects, a great cast, and even included a great deal of comedy. I actually prefer the longer movies, and if you don't like them then DON'T buy them!! It's fun getting lost in these fantasy worlds, and I really enjoy the genre of The Mummy meets Indiana Jones!! For 7.99 I highly recommend this movie, it was worth the buy.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good but not Great
Not knowing what to expect, especially after getting this movie for under
10$, i came out of this ordeal in pretty good shape.. What saves this movie is having some good experience actors that lifted this movie. There was enough special effects to make it interesting...and India makes a pretty good Egypt...as this is where they filmed the movie.
I do recomment at least a viewing of this movie.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Stupid , bad, cheesy, and ridiculous
ok, so to be fair I watched the entire movie, and really, there is no need to watch past the first 11 mins. This movie just sucks. Apparently I am in the minority of disliking this movie. Yet, that won't stop me from speaking my mind about it. If my reviews stops just one person from wasting their time, I've done some good in posting it. *giggle*

Casper Van Dien is miscast in this role. He doesn't come off as goofy or charming, or interesting, or intelligent, rather stupid, and annoying. Eye rolls all around for his performance. Plot summary: It's the Emerald Tablet (I know folks, I know!!) that is broken up in four parts, put them together and you have the power to control the world. On one side we have the bad guys, called, brace yourselves, "The Hell-Fire Counsel" and what is it they want? Ok, prepare yourselves for the shocker, "world domination through the powers of the occult and black magic." Little ol' Casper wants to use the tablet "for peace and prosperity for the entiiiire WORLD!!" Yes, it was said just as cheesy as I typed it. The Hell-Fire Counsel wants to use the power to become "invincible."

This movie tries too hard to be like The Mummy which was infinitely better in every single aspect. Ok that said, if you still want to see this movie, heaven help you, remember, you have the power at your hands.... It's called the fast Fwd button on your remote control! In the meantime, you can always "Mystery Science Theater" it...

or better yet, buy / rent something else.
